Comparing stem cell treatment for autism There is more to compare than the price
Nobody chooses a car on price alone. Stem cell programmes differ in the cells they use, the dose, how the cells are given, how long treatment lasts and what is done to help the cells work. This page compares Beike and 15 other providers on each of these. Beike's figures are for its programme in Bangkok, Thailand.
Beike's figures as supplied by Beike in October 2026. Other providers' prices as published on 26 October 2026, from clinic websites and medical travel listings. Prices change often. Every figure is linked to its source at the end of the page.
Five things to compare before you look at the price
Most providers cover the first four in some form. The fifth is the one most plans leave out.
The right cells type, quality and dose
Beike's protocol starts with the cells. In Bangkok it uses mesenchymal stem cells from donated umbilical cords [1], prepared to published laboratory standards [12].
Umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells [1]. No embryonic or fetal cells [2]. Most of the other providers also use mesenchymal cells from cord or cord tissue.
The total dose over the stay, in 6 to 8 packets [1]. The other four clinics that publish a count give 40 to 500 million.
Beike's site lists USP, CLIA, CDRH, CBER and AATB standards, and reports more than 22,500 patients treated with no serious adverse reaction reported [12].
- Beike Cell Therapy 120 to 160
- Immunotherapy Regenerative Medicine 500
- Stem Solutions 100 to 175
- Stem Cell Institute 40 to 80
- Giostar 70
Bars show the top of each range. Swiss Medica sets its dose by weight and does not publish a count. No trial has established the right dose for autism.
Two routes, 15 to 18 days how the cells are given, and for how long
IV drip and intrathecal injection by lumbar puncture. The intrathecal route places cells in the fluid around the brain and spinal cord [1]. The other five providers list IV only.
The dose is divided and spread over the stay [1]. Stem Cell Institute lists 4 infusions. The others do not publish a number.
Two to three weeks, with therapy alongside the injections [1]. The other clinics that publish a stay treat over two to six days.
- Beike Cell Therapy 15 to 18
- Stem Cell Institute 6
- Stem Solutions 3 to 5
- Giostar 5
- Immunotherapy Regenerative Medicine 5
The missing piece therapy alongside the injections
Beike's site states that "stimulation through various therapies is necessary to enhance stem cell regenerative response" [2, 12]. Of the six providers that publish their programme, one other includes any therapy.
- Beike Cell Therapy Physical and occupational therapyBrain stimulation (TMS)Hyperbaric oxygen (HBOT)AcupunctureNerve growth factor (NGF) All five in the price of the Bangkok programme
- Swiss Medica Physical and occupational therapy Occupational therapy
- Immunotherapy Regenerative Medicine Plasmapheresis

Six therapies in Beike's Bangkok programme
What each one involves, why it is part of the plan, and how strong the evidence is.
Movement training for strength, balance and coordination [13]
Builds motor skills during the weeks the cells are given
Supportive carePractice of fine motor skills, speech and self-care
To turn "cellular repair into the everyday function patients actually want back" [13]
Well established in autismPainless magnetic pulses from a coil held near the scalp
Activates brain regions linked to "movement, mood and language" [13]
Small studies, still investigationalBreathing pure oxygen in a pressurised chamber [15]
Beike's site says it extends the life of the injected cells [15]
Not shown to improve autism symptoms on its own [23]Thin needles at set points, about 30 minutes a session [24]
Intended to calm and improve circulation [13]
Supportive careFour to six injections into the muscle [16]
Supports the survival and repair of nerve cells [16]
Not established for autismAlso on Beike's therapy list, not in the price of the Bangkok programme
- Microbiome therapy (FMT) Not needed by every autistic child, and the doctors decide case by case. Two 2025 reviews found gains in gut and behaviour symptoms, mostly from small studies [14, 21, 22]
- Nutrition programme A diet plan set by the medical team [13]
- Aquatherapy Warm water sessions that make movement easier [13]
From $6,000 to $30,000 what the extra money buys
Autism programmes are priced from about $6,000 to $30,000. The price follows the number of cells, how they are given, the days of treatment and whether therapy is part of the plan.
Swiss Medica charges €7,700 to €25,000 depending on the programme and includes rehabilitation therapy [6]. Beike's price is for its autism programme in Bangkok, Thailand [1]. Treatment in China is planned and priced differently and will have its own page.

Bars in a row share one scale. Cost per million cells is the published price divided by the published cell count, and cost per day is the price divided by the published stay. Beike's figures are for the Bangkok programme [1].
$1,400 to $2,000 a day at the low end of the clinics that publish a stay
Spread over 15 to 18 days, Beike's price comes to $1,400 to $2,000 for each day of treatment. The four clinics with a stay of three to six days work out at $1,600 to $6,000 a day.
- Beike Cell Therapy $1,400 to $2,000
- Stem Solutions $2,200 to $2,300
- Stem Cell Institute $2,200 to $3,000
- Giostar $1,600 to $3,100
- Immunotherapy Regenerative Medicine $5,000 to $6,000
Beike works out at $160 to $250, with six therapies and two delivery routes in the price. Giostar is at $115 to $225 and Stem Cell Institute at $225 to $325. Two Mexican clinics are lower, at $48 to $68, with IV delivery only and no therapy programme.
15 to 18 days of treatment also means about three weeks away from home and work, with meals and local transport to pay for. The next sections cover those costs and the rest of the market.

Beike follows patients from one month to one year after treatment [2] and publishes the answers in its own register [17]. The figures are parent reported and there is no comparison group. Few competitors publish this much.
A published clinical trial of its own protocol, and a six night trip.
Shows its prices on its own site. Accommodation, meals, transport and a translator are included.
Far cheaper, and closer for North American families.
Beike has no public price list. Each family gets a quote for the child's weight and plan.
Experimental treatment no regulator has approved it
No stem cell treatment for autism is approved by the FDA or any major regulator. Beike's site states "Our treatments are not currently FDA approved" and that treatment "remains experimental for all age groups" [2].
A 2022 pooled analysis found stem cell therapy "might be safe and effective" and called the evidence insufficient because studies were small and inconsistent [18]. Duke University's controlled trial of a single cord blood infusion in 180 children found no significant improvement in its main social communication measure [19].
In early 2026 India's Supreme Court ruled that offering stem cells for autism outside an approved clinical trial is malpractice [20].
Intrathecal injection carries more risk than IV. It involves a lumbar puncture, usually with sedation in young children. Headache and fever are the common short term effects. No clinic can promise a result, and a provider that guarantees improvement should be avoided.
Eight questions to ask any provider
- 1 How many cells in total, of which types, and how is that verified?
- 2 Which delivery routes, how many injections, over how many days?
- 3 Exactly which supportive therapies are in the price, and how many sessions of each?
- 4 What is not included (hotel, meals, tests, sedation, repeat visits)?
- 5 Who are the treating doctors and what are their qualifications?
- 6 What are your results, how were they measured, and can I see the data?
- 7 What happens, and who pays, if there is a complication?
- 8 What follow-up do we get once we are home?
