Clémence and Sarah, sisters aged 29 and 31, suffer from type 2 Oculomotor Ataxia. They were diagnosed in 2001 and back then they were experiencing minor balance issues, which gradually worsened.
According to the girls’ mom: “Faced with the inaction of French medicine in 2012, we looked around the world for a treatment that could her our daughters. A good number of cord blood stem cell treatments were advertised on the internet, particularly in China. We contacted Beike Biotech after selecting the one that appeared to be the most serious one. The representative contacted us and put us in touch with patients who had benefited from the treatment. This was essential to our decision to choose Beike.
Since 2012, Clémence has had six treatments in Bangkok, Thailand. She met a specialist who confirmed the so-called by them “miracle”. She has made incredible progress since then, and her illness’s effects have either disappeared or been greatly reduced. Clémence has made significant progress and gained many motor skills since the beginning of treatment sessions. Her advancement enables her to find a better balance and walk each time. Progress usually lasts 6 months.
As for Sarah, just had her third treatment. She made significant progress in terms of fine motor skills, walking, and balance the first time around.
According to the family, the treatment works as a cure, but it does not cure. Instead, allow patients to recover for several months while also enhancing their bodies and mind. The entire team goes above and beyond to make sure that our patients have the best possible stay.
Sarah recently returned to our facility in July 2022 for another treatment and a month later the progress was visible. Better balance – Sarah can now stand without stepping on the grass), has smoother walking and has less fatigue. She will keep attending physical and functional rehabilitation recommended by our doctors.
It takes a special kind of woman to share the progress of her children with the world. We are grateful for these mothers, and we hope they’ll continue sharing their encouraging stories with us as we work together.
