Kevin Naidoo, a yoga instructor from Saskatoon, Canada recently returned home from his stem cell treatment “adventure” in Bangkok, Thailand to treat his Optic Nerve Atrophy (ONA) which was caused by Glaucoma, which is an increase of intra-ocular pressure that can damage the optic nerve. His treatment utilized adult stem cells and treatment protocols from Beike Biotechnology.
Kevin’s father researched the condition thoroughly and spending countless hours and nights on the internet and phone until finding Beike Biotechnology‘s stem cell research and protocols and brought this to Kevin Naidoo who was willing to give the therapy a try.
This sparked a fundraising campaign which led to much news coverage also gave Kevin Naidoo a platform in which to share his story and the disappointment that many others face when confronted with conditions such as Glaucoma. At diagnosis, Kevin was told that there were no substantial therapies available in North America and that a condition like Glaucoma is something you just “go home and get comfortable with.”
Kevin Naidoo Talks Glaucoma Improvements
After the vision in his left eye degenerated until complete blindness, Kevin Naidoo was diagnosed with open angular glaucoma. Besides the vision in his left eye being completely gone, according to him the glaucoma has also reduced his vision to “pretty much 50 per cent of [his] right eye.” Fellow Canadian, Glaucoma patient, and lifelong vision impairment sufferer Janice Marks also received the same treatment in Thailand – one she learned about through Kevin Naidoo’s story.
