MSASantoro Leone - MSA - Adult Stem Cell Patient
When Santoro Leone's health began to deteriorate his son, Joe, quit his job and dedicated himself full-time to his father's care. Diagnosed with a non-genetic form of Ataxia, Santoro was dizzy all the time with numerous other Ataxia-like symptoms. In 2008 Joe accompanied his father to Qingdao China to receive adult stem cells. In this video shot in Fall 2010, Joe talks about his father, his condition and their trip to China for an unknown therapy.

AtaxiaJeff Crowe - Ataxia Stem Cell Patient
Jeff Crowe has Ataxia, an hereditary genetic disorder affecting his nervous system. He came to China to receive adult stem cell therapy in the hopes of improving his condition and to push the hands on the clock back a bit. People with Ataxia are often mistaken for being very drunk. Their speech can be slurred. They can appear clumsy and uncoordinated. They suffer double-vision, dizziness and difficulties with depth perception. Jeff refused to accept the news that there was nothing that could be done about it. After receiving treatments of adult stem cells from donated umbilical cord blood his balance and walking abilities improved amongst other things. Adult stem cell therapy is not a cure for Ataxia. After symptoms began to progress again he returned for a second round of transplants. This video was shot during that time.

Tamara, a mother of two, survived a car crash in Elko, Nevada. She suffered significant spinal injuries during the accident and underwent a lot of surgery following it to secure her spine. In Shijiazhuang, China she received a regimen of adult stem cells and physical therapy to enhance her recovery efforts. In this video she talks about the accident that brought her to China and the improvements she has seen in her condition. This interview was shot in Beijing as Tamara and her caretaker were leaving China.

Optic Nerve Hypoplasia (ONH)Macie Morse - ONH (second treatment)
Macie Morse received her first round of stem cells in 2008 to treat blindness caused by optic nerve hypoplasia. After this treatment her vision had improved to a level where she could get her driver's license. We caught up with Macie and her mother during a second round of adult stem cell treatments in 2010. Macie's story has been covered extensively by international news outlets. In 2008 a US television production crew attempted an intervention to prevent Macie from coming the first time. Macie's parents raised her without teaching her Braille or focusing much on her blindness. At 15, Macie did not know her visual abilities would keep her out of fighter-pilot school, F1 competition and all other normal driving activities. These interviews were shot while Macie and her family were staying at the hospital in Qingdao.

Far from facing a medical disaster, Betty survived the adventure and believes her Multiple Sclerosis was set back several years.
